Wisconsin DOJ Identifies Homicide Suspect Fatally Shot by Marinette Police

TOWN OF PESHTIGO, WISCONSIN — The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) has identified the man fatally shot by Marinette police officers after a high-speed pursuit on August 29 as Andrew Lloyd Collamore, 23, a suspect in a Dane County homicide investigation.

According to officials, the incident began around 9:12 a.m. when Marinette police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of one tied to the Dane County case. The driver fled, prompting a pursuit along US-41 that ended in a crash near the intersection of US-41 and Schacht Road.

Confrontation After Pursuit

Authorities said Collamore exited the vehicle and approached officers. Initial attempts to subdue him included the use of a taser, which proved ineffective.
