Wisconsin Man Arrested After Police Chase, Facing Sixth OWI Charge

MONONA, WISCONSIN — A 36-year-old man with an extensive criminal history was arrested Thursday night after allegedly attempting to flee police during a traffic stop, leading to his sixth OWI charge.

Police identified the driver as Tyler Miller of Madison, who was spotted unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle stopped in traffic on Highway 51. Officers reported the vehicle remained stationary at a green light, prompting them to intervene.

According to the Monona Police Department, officers ordered Miller to exit the vehicle after waking him. Instead, he acknowledged the officers and fled the scene, heading southbound on Highway 51 before turning around and driving at highway speeds.
