Aaron Perry strives to keep health care free and growing in Madison

Aaron Perry remembers the extra plates his parents would set at the dinner table growing up, never knowing who might need a meal that night. It was never announced or made into a big deal. Just doors opened, chairs pulled up and room made at the table — a spirit of care woven into the family’s daily life.

That lesson in quiet generosity shaped Perry’s approach to his work today as founder and president of the Perry Family Free Clinic. Just as his parents never turned anyone away from their table, Perry works to ensure no one in Madison goes without access to health care.

Through several initiatives, he focuses on supporting uninsured and underinsured Black men in Madison, but the clinic welcomes anyone who walks through its doors. Even as federal policy changes this year created more uncertainty, Perry and his team stepped up, making sure access to health care remains a possibility…
