Madison police arrest teens for vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police received a report of teens removing license plates from a vehicle and throwing items into some bushes near the 2300 block of Columbus Lane early Monday.

Officers responded to the scene shortly after 12:40 a.m. Monday and located the group of teens, who ran away from the area. A perimeter was set up while a K9 unit and a drone were deployed, successfully locating the individuals involved.

Police reported the vehicle stolen from Fitchburg, and a recovered backpack contained tools used in burglaries…
