Man arrested for threats to kill people at a tavern in Wisconsin, officers confiscate loaded handgun

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 24-year-old man was arrested Friday night after officials say he threatened to fight and kill people at a tavern while in possession of a loaded handgun.

The Madison Police Department reported that officers responded to a tavern in the 400 block of North Frances Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday for a report that a person had a gun and kept threatening to fight people.

Police officers arrived, arresting a 24-year-old man outside of the tavern , confiscating a loaded handgun in his possession. The suspect was reportedly irritated when staff asked him to show ID before entering.

Staff then reportedly told him that he needed to leave; however, he allegedly threatened to fight people and kill the staff members. The man was holding a firearm, and allegedly pointed it at the tavern from a nearby sidewalk. No injuries were reported and no shots were fired…
