Disturbance in Wisconsin leads to OWI arrest, another arrested for allegedly punching & kicking officers

MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin say two people were arrested following an early morning disturbance in a parking lot that led to officers being punched, kicked and shoved.

The Madison Police Department reported that officers were sent to a parking lot in the 2400 block of Independence Lane after 2 a.m. on Friday.

While investigating, another person reportedly arrived on the scene and confronted the officers. Police said that an officer was shoved and another had been punched and kicked while trying to detain the involved persons.

38-year-old Lindell Johnson was arrested for resisting and causing soft tissue injury, obstructing and for an OWI. 27-year-old Deanna Griffin was arrested for battery of law enforcement and disorderly conduct…
