SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — Salvatore’s Tomato Pies in Sun Prairie announced a fundraiser for the Madison police officer and his K9, both injured in a Sept. 27 crash.
Christopher Brugger is accused of driving recklessly during a 4.5-mile chase that reached speeds over 80 miles per hour and involved weaving through traffic in various cities. The chase ended when Brugger allegedly struck Officer Ryan Kimberely and his K9, Freddie. The officer sustained serious injuries while K9 Freddie received minor injuries.
Monona police indicated that Brugger was previously convicted for a similar incident in 2022, where he hit and injured an officer in Chaney’s department. His criminal record dates back to 2015…
