Big Fake ID & Underage Drinking Sting Nets Lots Of Arrests For Madison Police
Give me a college campus, and I’ll show you a group of underage students who want to go out drinking. I know firsthand because I was one of them back in the day. It’s like a game of cat and mouse. Can you get away with it instead of getting busted by the local police?
When it comes to underage drinking, every campus is a little bit different. It starts with the bars. In some college towns, you can get into bars when you’re not old enough. Some let 18-year-olds in, while others are strictly 21 or older.
Despite bar rules that let underage students in, the law says you can’t drink until you’re 21. The university police are always on the lookout for fake IDs. They’ll set up stings to enter taverns to bust the kids boozing.
