Madison Police Respond to Reports of Gunfire on City’s East Side Thursday Night

MADISON, WISCONSIN — Police in Madison responded to the city’s east side Thursday night after multiple reports of shots fired prompted a large law enforcement response.

According to the Madison Police Department (MPD), officers were dispatched around 8 p.m. to the 4700 block of Dutch Mill after receiving several 911 calls about gunfire in the area.

Multiple Agencies Respond to Scene

The Monona Police Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Dane County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene, according to MPD.
