Deerfield man arrested after pursuit following crash into Kwik Trip car wash

CAMBRIDGE, Wis. — A 40-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly starting a pursuit following a crash into a closed Kwik Trip car wash door in Cambridge, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the Kwik Trip after the man rammed his vehicle into the closed car wash door at around 7:15 p.m. Officials reported that he was still at the car wash when deputies arrived. To prevent him from driving away, deputies placed a tire deflation device under his vehicle; however, the man managed to drive away, resulting in one of his tires going flat.

The man then led deputies on a brief pursuit westbound on Highway 12, which ended when he stopped and fled into a nearby hay field…
