Central Wisconsin family pushes for EpiPen legislation after son’s death

MADISON, Wis. (WSAW) — A central Wisconsin family met with lawmakers in Madison on Wednesday in an effort to pass a bill that would require all first responders to be trained to use an EpiPen and to have one available.

The Mueller family lost their son Andrew in late 2024 to an unknown peanut allergy. When they called 911 to help Andrew last November, officers were the first to arrive on scene, but they didn’t epinephrine, also commonly known as an EpiPen.
