Local Police Respond to 397 Calls in 24 Hours, Including Disturbances and Drug-Related Death

Between 6:00 a.m. on October 21 and 6:00 a.m. on October 22, 2025, local law enforcement responded to 397 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or accidental 911 calls. The North district had the most calls at 82. The East district had 80, Central had 65, Midtown had 58, West had 56, South had 43, and 13 calls were listed as ‘Other,’ which usually involve help to agencies outside the city.

On the evening of October 21, from 5:38 p.m. to 11:26 p.m., officers responded only to priority calls due to limited resources and staffing. Several incidents took place during this 24-hour period.

At 5:35 a.m., officers went to a hotel on Coho Street in the South district for a disturbance. A 26-year-old man, reportedly intoxicated, became verbally aggressive and threw a lamp, hitting another person. He was arrested for battery and disorderly conduct…
