Madison Police Respond to Over 400 Calls: Recent Incidents Include Road Rage, Domestic Disturbances, and OWI Arrest

Between 6:00 a.m. on October 20 and 6:00 a.m. on October 21, 2025, Madison police received 426 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or accidental 911 calls. The calls were distributed as follows: Central (66), East (105), Midtown (60), North (76), South (40), West (67), and Other (12). The ‘Other’ category covers calls outside city sectors or those involving assistance to other law enforcement agencies.

Several incidents were reported during this period. On October 20 at 11:39 a.m., a caller from the East district reported a road rage incident from the previous Saturday. A shot was fired at their vehicle. Police are still investigating this case.

At 2:40 p.m. in the South district, officers arrested a 44-year-old man for domestic disorderly conduct after a disturbance involving his minor child. Child Protective Services were notified, and the child was placed with the other parent.
