1. Trump administration denies Evers’ request for public assistance funds for flood damage
Wisconsin’s request for public assistance funds to help with repairs to damage caused by historic flooding in August has been denied. Gov. Tony Evers said he’d received a letter from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that stated the public assistance program “is not warranted” based on the preliminary damage assessment done by its team.
