MADISON, Wis. — While travelers lined up for flights at Dane County Regional Airport, federal paychecks are still at a standstill — leaving essential workers like TSA agents feeling powerless during the ongoing government shutdown.
Jessica LaPointe wasn’t there to fly anywhere. Instead, the mother of four showed up to support the essential workers keeping security lines moving, despite missing paydays.
