MADISON, Wis. — Dane County Director of Human Services John Schlueter is refusing to comment on or acknowledge payment issues with Urban Triage.
This comes at the same time that close to $1 million of funding to Urban Triage is set to be added to the county budget tonight. These contracts were not found in Dane County Executive Melissa Agard’s original county budget proposal.
In July, Channel3000.com spoke with Schlueter and told him about its investigations into Human Services and Urban Triage. Channel3000.com spoke with someone that received services from Urban Triage and provided a ledger, detailing payments. This ledger showed consistent late payments, among other issues. The funds came from the Dane County CORE program, which the county paid Urban Triage to administer. Channel 3000 has previously reported on Human Services violating county ordinances in contracts with Urban Triage and violating state ordinances in contracts with multiple parties.
The ledger shows the payment details for an apartment on High Ridge Trail in Fitchburg. Urban Triage made late payments, which were funded by county funds, in every month of 2022 except June.
