Sheriff’s office: Multiple arrested in separate drunk driving incidents

MADISON, Wis. — Multiple people were arrested in separate drunk driving incidents in Dane County early Sunday morning, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the first arrests occurred after deputies responded to assist the McFarland Police Department on U.S. Highway 151 at 1:15 a.m. where multiple operators had driven through a road construction area. Two of those drivers were found to reportedly be intoxicated, and deputies arrested a 44-year-old Madison man, for his 4th operating while intoxicated offense, along with a 25-year-old Madison man for his first OWI offense.

Twenty-five minutes later, deputies responded to a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road on Femrite Road and CTH B in the Town of Cottage Grove. A 26-year-old Madison man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and booked into the Dane County Jail on two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping…
