For 37 years, the Goodman Community Center’s Thanksgiving Basket Drive has provided Dane County families experiencing food insecurity with everything they need to assemble a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Right now, the need is greater than ever: According to the Goodman Community Center’s director of communications and annual giving, Florence Edwards-Miller, it only took five hours for 4,000 families — representing upward of 25,000 Dane County residents — to register to receive baskets this year.
