MADISON, Wis. — The Madison Police Department on Wednesday provided an update on a crash that claimed the life of a man Monday morning.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office reportedly initiated a traffic stop earlier, but the man did not stop, and the deputy did not pursue.
Police said the man continued to travel northbound on South Stoughton Road when witnesses saw a vehicle speeding and entering a ditch along the median side of the road.
