MADISON, Wis. — The City of Madison Engineering team will temporarily close a portion of Milwaukee Street to through traffic on Thursday.
This closure, spanning from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., is due to a water main installation for a private development project.
A detour route was provided as follows:
- Atwood Avenue using Walter Street to the east and South Fair Oaks Avenue
Madison Metro Transit buses and emergency vehicles will still be able to access the closed portion of Milwaukee Street, with the contractor maintaining limited access for two-way traffic via flagging…
