MADISON, WI (WSAU) — This Thanksgiving, AAA is offering a program called Tow-To-Go to keep impaired drivers off the road. This program gives impaired drivers a free confidential ride and tow with their vehicle to a safe location within 10-miles. This service should not be panned, and only used when Ubers, or other rides are not available.
Nearly one-third of traffic deaths are due to impaired driving in the U.S. In 2023, nearly 12,000 lives were lost due to alcohol. Thanksgiving is one of the more dangerous times for drivers, due to the increase of traffic of people traveling for the holidays.
The service will be active from 6pm Wednesday, November 26th to December 1st 2025 across different states, such as, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Colorado (Denver), North Carolina (Charlotte), Indiana (Fort Wayne and South Bend.)…
