The city of Madison’s bus system is in the middle of a massive overhaul. Bus Rapid Transit, the mayor’s signature project, seeks to modernize the city’s public transportation and accommodate the growing population.
The first BRT route launched last September and runs from the far west side, across the isthmus, and to the east side. The North-South BRT line is expected to begin service in 2028.
