Madison, WI – A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of south central and southeast Wisconsin, where 6 to 10 inches of snow are expected from 3 a.m. Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday. The storm will impact communities including Madison, Janesville, Kenosha, Racine, Beloit, Portage, Lake Geneva, Reedsburg, and Dodgeville.
According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan, snow will move in before sunrise Saturday and intensify through the day. Heavy snowfall rates may create rapidly deteriorating road conditions across the region, especially on major routes such as I-39, I-43, I-90, I-94, US-12, and WI-26.
The warning includes Marquette, Green Lake, Sauk, Columbia, Iowa, Dane, Jefferson, Lafayette, Green, Rock, Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha counties. Forecasters say the combination of steady snow and reduced visibility will make travel difficult for much of Saturday and into early Sunday…
