Local Police Respond to Over 400 Calls in 24 Hours, Including Burglaries, Assaults, and Mental Health Incidents

Between 6:00 a.m. on December 1 and 6:00 a.m. on December 2, 2025, local police responded to 423 calls for service in several city districts. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. The calls were distributed as follows: Central (66), East (95), Midtown (70), North (83), South (47), West (56), and Other (6). ‘Other’ refers to calls outside city sectors or those involving assistance to other agencies.

During this 24-hour period, officers responded to various incidents. In Midtown, a residential burglary was reported in the morning. A stolen vehicle related to this case was later recovered. In the West district, officers responded to a disturbance involving a person experiencing a mental health crisis. The individual was transported to a hospital for evaluation and accepted voluntary services.

Mental health-related calls were frequent. In Midtown, officers conducted an emergency detention and transported a person for evaluation. In the South district, a child abuse report was received. Child Protective Services became involved, and the case is under investigation…
