Three teenagers were arrested early Tuesday morning after an armed robbery and assault on the city’s south side. The incident happened at about 12:40 a.m. in the 700 block of Diving Hawk Trail. Police said a woman was assaulted and robbed while inside a car. The suspects took her phone and money before leaving the area.
Officers found the suspects driving on Verona Road. Police stopped the vehicle at Williamsburg Way and South Whitney Way, with help from the Fitchburg Police Department. Police recovered a stolen firearm, a sword, and the victim’s property from the car. Zion L. Mather-Fox, 18, Tony K. Caldwell, 17, and Daequan D. Lewis, 17, were arrested.
