MADISON, Wis. — Sitting on a huge pile of extra cash? Then one of Madison’s historic buildings could soon be yours.
The Wisconsin Department of Administration announced Wednesday that the office building at 1 West Wilson Street is up for sale. The building was the first state office built outside of the Capitol, and the first segments of the building were constructed in 1930.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, 1 West Wilson is located across the street from the Monona Terrace and just a block from the Capitol. The building has 11 stories above ground and four below…
