MADISON, Wis. — Four people were displaced after a hot water pipe burst at a Madison apartment early Monday, fire department officials said.
The burst happened at an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Troy Drive. A person living at the building ran over to Fire Station 10, which is located just down the street, to report the burst just before 2:30 a.m.
Firefighters were able to located the unit where the burst occurred, and found large amounts of water pouring from a hot water floor register. There was lots of flooding, and crews had a hard time finding a functional shutoff valve…
