Between the morning of December 5 and December 8, 2025, local law enforcement responded to 1,103 calls for service across city districts. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. The calls were distributed among the Central, East, Midtown, North, South, and West districts. The East district received the most calls, with 238. An additional 24 calls were classified as ‘Other,’ which usually involved assisting agencies outside the city.
On December 5, North district officers arrested a 32-year-old man at a motel for causing a disturbance, threatening staff, and damaging property while intoxicated. He resisted arrest, causing minor injuries to two officers. He was charged with resisting arrest, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping.
Later that day, East district officers responded to a drug overdose. They administered naloxone and took the person to a hospital. The individual received a referral to the Madison Addiction Recovery Initiative (MARI) and was cited. In the South district, a battery incident led to a victim seeking medical care.
