MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Dane County residents will face higher fees for vehicle registration, airport parking and county park permits starting in 2026 after the Board of Supervisors approved the budget last month.
Vehicle registration fees will increase from $28 to $40, which is a $12 increase. Some people said they are upset after learning about the uptick.
“I’m not happy. I think we’re already paying way more than we should for a state like Wisconsin,” David Schmidt said. “We have multiple vehicles, so that’s going to be exponential. It’s ridiculous.”…
