3 DOC employees on leave as agency probes response to Morgan Geyser’s escape

MADISON – The state Department of Corrections is investigating the agency’s response to Morgan Geyser’s escape from a Madison group home last month and has implemented changes to the notification process when an offender on GPS monitoring triggers an alert, according to a letter sent by DOC Secretary Jared Hoy in response to questions from lawmakers.

Three staff members involved in the response to Geyser’s GPS alert are currently on administrative leave pending the results of formal personnel investigations, according to the agency.
