MADISON — Warmer December weather provided ideal conditions Monday evening for the third annual Bright Light run-walk fundraiser, a two-mile illuminated course through Olin Park that supports Girls on the Run programming in Madison-area schools.
The nonprofit organization provides free after-school programming in the area’s highest-needs schools, focusing on empowering young girls through movement and essential life skills training. The annual December fundraiser brings together participants ranging from teenagers to women in their 70s for the charitable cause.
