Taj Indian Cuisine & Bar’s reopened in a new location earlier this week in the former venue of The Borough Beer Co. & Kitchen at 444 S. Park St. Taj took a six year hiatus after shuttering its original location in 2019 after 16 years of operation. The reopening marks a triumphant return for the Indian restaurant that had a dedicated Madison following.
Until Dec. 20, Taj is offering soft opening service with limited seating by reservation only. For the first week, the family-run restaurant will focus on favorites from its original location, like chicken tikka masala, fresh-baked naan, and meat, vegetable and seafood biryanis. The new location will also add a full bar with cocktails, mocktails and tap beers.
Starting Dec. 23, the restaurant will switch to normal seating and hours: 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Sundays…
