MADISON, Wis. — Nearly two dozen cats were rescued from a hoarding situation in Dane County last week, the Dane County Humane Society said Tuesday.
Animal service officers initially brought 16 cats to the shelter, however that total ballooned to 23 over the next several days. The cats were removed from a single 300-square-foot studio apartment.
DCHS said the majority of the cats are friendly and enjoy the company of humans. Some of the cats required treatment for medical issues, but many of the healthy cats were set to go up for adoption this week…
