SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – A trio of teenagers in Wisconsin face a multitude of charges for allegedly stealing ammunition from a Bass Pro Shops on Christmas Eve.
‘Bond between community & police’: Officers honor retired Ripon K9 after passing
According to the Sun Prairie Police Department, Bass Pro Shops staff members reported an ongoing theft around 6 p.m. on December 24.
Staff members reported multiple people taking ammunition and pistol magazines from the store, none of which had been paid for when they left. Officers arrived and found the suspects leaving, all of whom fled on foot.
Officers reportedly caught two of the suspects quickly; however, one fled, prompting a search of the area. The investigation deemed that the third suspect boarded a Madison Metro Bus. The suspect was subsequently arrested on the bus.

All three are 14-year-olds from Madison, each facing the following potential charges (unnamed due to age):
- Suspect 1 – Party to a Crime — Retail Theft, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer
- Suspect 2 – Party to a Crime — Retail Theft, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, Possession of THC
- Suspect 3 – Retail Theft, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, Possession of a Facsimile Firearm, Possession of THC
