‘Lots of love in this house’: Columbia Co. couple reflects on home and dog lost in Christmas fire

FORT WINNEBAGO, Wis. (WMTV) – A Columbia County family is working to rebuild after a Christmas Day fire destroyed their home and many of their most treasured possessions.

The Portage Fire Department responded about noon Thursday to a call on Hogan Road in the Town of Fort Winnebago and found a two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Because of the intensity, crews fought the fire from the exterior and requested additional resources under a MABAS Box response.

Tabby and Rusty Dimond, who lived with their two daughters, described the morning before the fire as joyful and filled with holiday traditions…
