Waunakee man, whose dog was found dead at his home, arrested for domestic offenses

TOWN OF WESTPORT, Wis. — A Waunakee man, whose dog was found dead at his home, was arrested Friday afternoon following a multi-day investigation related to domestic offenses, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office reported on Tuesday.

The investigation began on Dec. 21 when deputies responded to a residence on Kirkwood Drive in the Town of Westport. Harry McCormick, 38, allegedly threatened a woman with a handgun, allowing her to escape before law enforcement arrived.
