DEKORRA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 20-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested early New Year’s Day for operating while intoxicated after deputies found his vehicle stopped in the middle of the interstate.
Shortly before 4 a.m., a deputy with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was traveling on Interstate 90/94/39 near mile marker 112.6 in the Town of Dekorra when a vehicle was observed stopped in the center lane with its hazard lights activated.

Deputies said the driver was passed out behind the wheel while the vehicle remained in gear. After waking the driver, deputies instructed him to place the vehicle in park before conducting standardized field sobriety tests.
