Police: Woman who led officers on high-speed chase, smoked crack after being stopped arrested

MONONA, Wis. — Monona police arrested a woman early Wednesday morning who they said led officers on a high-speed chase and smoked crack cocaine from a pipe after being stopped.

Officers were conducting an unrelated traffic stop on the Beltline at around 2 a.m. when they heard from Fitchburg police about a vehicle that was driving without headlights and couldn’t maintain a lane.

While looking out for the vehicle, Monona officers learned from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office that it was heading east on the Beltline towards Monona Drive going above 100mph…
