Dear Editor: As the editor of the second newspaper in our fair city, Paul Fanlund feels that he is the voice of the oppressed population of the wealthy and yet somehow powerless in our city (“A New Year’s appeal to Madison’s ruling ‘uniparty,’” Jan. 5).
He courageously stands up for the rights of motorists to stand up to the bullies that are bicyclists, who wage “the war on cars.” Motorists stand to lose three to five minutes of their otherwise 20-minute commute, while bicyclists have nothing to lose, with the possible exception of being killed on the roadways.
He wants people to not hate him, while calling mainstream progressives “the far left,” and lamenting the tyranny of “the controlling uniparty.”…
