The state Department of Transportation’s possible expansion of the Beltline could run into opposition from Madison’s elected officials and residents.
Members of the city’s Transportation Commission and some of the public balked at the idea last week, citing environmental impacts and potential displacement of businesses and residents, among other reasons.
