Zimbrick founder dies at 99, recalled for legacy of stewardship

The Zimbrick name, now well-known around greater Madison, first appeared the city in 1959 when John Zimbrick showed up to sell cars for a chain dealership.

The name has since become synonymous with auto sales in the region, while John Zimbrick himself is credited with creating a blueprint for local businesses to donate their time and profits to community organizations.

Zimbrick died Jan. 4 at age 99, leaving that legacy of service and his family to carry it forward…
