1. Madison passes temporary data center moratorium
As data centers pop up all-over Wisconsin, the state’s capitol city is pumping the brakes on them. Madison’s city council passed a one-year moratorium on data center proposals. That means any permits for new, large data centers within city limits will not be considered for the next 12 months.
