If you aren’t familiar, the Ice Age Trail is a 1200-mile hiking trail that winds its way through the state following the edge of the glacier that retreated after the last ice age 12,000 years ago. It is one of 11 National Scenic Trails in the country built and has been maintained by thousands of volunteers over the last 50 years.
Last month I finished my section hike of the entire Ice Age Trail. I’ve spent oh so many weekends over the past five years out in the woods and have explored parts of the state I’d never been to before.
