JEFFERSON CO., Wis. — Wisconsin State Patrol troopers got some help from Mother Nature when searching for a Sun Prairie man early Friday morning who they said drove while under the influence and walked away from a crash.
A trooper came across the crash scene just after 12:40 a.m. along eastbound I-94 near County Highway P. The airbag had deployed in the crash and the vehicle was unoccupied.
The trooper found footprints in the fresh snow leading away from the crash. After following the tracks for about 1.5 miles, a 41-year-old Sun Prairie man was allegedly found hiding in a bush…
