Chippewa Falls man arrested for driving away from traffic stop in Portage

PORTAGE, Wis. — Columbia County deputies arrested a Chippewa Falls man Thursday afternoon who they said drove away from a traffic stop.

Sheriff Roger Brandner said a deputy pulled the 43-year-old man over on Highway 33 near Caledonia Street after seeing him driving erratically and speeding.
