After a quarter century in which the U.S. was considered free of endemic measles, it’s back, in Wisconsin and nationwide.
So far this year, more than 730 U.S. cases have been reported, including two in Wisconsin – one in a Waukesha County adult and one in a UW-Madison student.
Health officials are also warning of measles exposure from a person who traveled from Phoenix to Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport on Jan. 29 and continued to Walworth County. The person was exposed to measles in another state and the case will count toward that state’s total measles cases, officials said. They would not say whether the person is a Walworth County resident…
