Multiple Wisconsin teenagers arrested after hit & run, loaded guns found in stolen vehicle

MONONA, Wis. (WFRV) – Three Wisconsin teenagers, two of whom are juveniles, were arrested around 1 a.m. on Wednesday after a high-speed pursuit seriously injured an uninvolved driver.

According to the Monona Police Department, an officer noticed a reckless driver at 105 miles per hour around 12:50 a.m. on Wednesday, and attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the suspect driver turned the lights off and continued towards I-90.

The pursuit led officers to deploy tire deflation devices along Highway 151, with local agencies assisting in the pursuit. Uninvolved drivers nearby were stopped by the device, and one of them was struck by the suspect vehicle while pulled over.

The driver was seriously injured, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to officials. The suspect vehicle’s driver and one passenger fled on foot, but a second passenger was arrested right outside the vehicle.

The fleeing individuals were subsequently arrested after a drone and K9 search. The arrested individuals, all identified as males, are as follows, with recommended charges:

  • 16-year-old driver from Madison
    • Eluding
    • 2nd-Degree Reckless Injury
    • Hit and Run causing Great Bodily Harm
    • Reckless Driving Causing Harm
    • Resisting/Obstructing
    • Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent
  • 16-year-old passenger from Madison
    • Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent – Passenger
    • Resisting/Obstructing
  • 19-year-old Quraan Raines of Madison
    • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
    • Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent – Passenger

The vehicle was also stolen with a fleet plate from Illinois, and officers recovered two loaded handguns with extended magazines…
