‘Their spirit is strong’: Huntington’s Disease community finds hope in new treatment discovery

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Love and hope filled the air this Valentine’s Day for families battling Huntington’s disease, as news of the first treatment discovery for the deadly condition brings new optimism to the community.

“This is the first year a treatment was discovered,” said Shana Verstegen, who organizes an annual gala supporting Huntington’s disease research.
