Sun Prairie seeks $3.95 million referendum for city services

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) – The city of Sun Prairie has reached a limit on the amount it can collect from its residents in property taxes.

Officials are putting a referendum in motion, seeking to raise an additional $3.95 million for city services.

“This referendum will provide for the city’s funding needs over the next three years,” said City Administrator Aaron Oppenheimer. “We’re able to support those community needs — [to] not only be able to continue the quality services that our residents enjoy, but also be able to add some additional staff that we need over the next three years.”…
