A career that began 50 years ago with a predawn rock ’n’ roll show on a Duke University student radio station ends this June, when Wisconsin Public Radio host Norman Gilliland finally takes off his headphones.
Gilliland is the host of “Midday Classics” every weekday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on WPR Music (107.9 FM) and the host of “University Place Presents” on PBS Wisconsin.
He’s also a reader and editor for “Chapter A Day” — Gilliland is currently reading “When the Cranes Fly South” by Lisa Ridzén (the show airs at 7 p.m. on WPR Music and 9:30 p.m. on WPR News)…
